THE CHALLENGE
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) sought to prepare its final-year Creative Intelligence and Innovation students and academic staff from the Transdisciplinary School for the rapid advancements in AI technology. The key challenge was to equip students and academics with an understanding of Generative AI and its implications for research, education, and professional industries. It was also to explore how Human-Centred Design can integrate with AI to drive innovation and prepare students for evolving professional landscapes. UTS engaged The Strategy Group and InsightWise to lead this initiative through an interactive learning experience.
THE APPROACH
Engaging the next generation of thinkers.
- For Students:
- A comprehensive presentation on Generative AI, its capabilities, and examples of AI tools applicable to Human-Centred Design and career development.
- An experimentation activity where students conducted qualitative research among peers, using InsightWise to generate actionable insights and create presentations on their research topics.
- For Academics:
- A follow-up session with the Transdisciplinary School’s academics focused on adapting educational approaches to align with technological advancements.
- A thought-provoking discussion on the implications of AI for various roles and industries and strategies to equip students for a rapidly evolving professional landscape.
